LocalBOT is a product of VarniksGlobal Technology Pvt Ltd, a company registered in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. We operate the LocalBOT platform available at localbot.in and through our mobile applications. Our registered email is hello@localBot.in.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use LocalBOT:

  • Account information: Name, mobile phone number, and delivery address provided during registration.
  • Subscription data: Products subscribed, delivery frequency, pause/resume history, and delivery confirmations.
  • Location data: Delivery address and, with your permission, precise GPS location used for delivery verification and route optimisation via Google Maps Platform.
  • Payment information: Transaction records, UPI IDs (not stored in full), and payment method preferences. We do not store full card numbers or bank account details.
  • Device information: Device type, operating system, and app version for technical support purposes.
  • Communication data: WhatsApp messages sent to our business number for subscription management.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To manage your daily delivery subscriptions and communicate delivery status.
  • To process pause, resume, and billing requests via the app and WhatsApp.
  • To generate monthly bills and delivery reports.
  • To optimise vendor delivery routes using Google Maps Platform APIs.
  • To verify deliveries using GPS geolocation data.
  • To send service notifications and important account updates.
  • To resolve disputes between customers and vendors.
  • To improve our platform and develop new features.

4. Google Maps Platform

LocalBOT uses Google Maps Platform APIs including Maps SDK, Places API, Routes API, and Geocoding API. These are used for: (a) displaying your delivery location on a map, (b) helping vendors find customer addresses, (c) optimising delivery routes, and (d) verifying delivery completion via geolocation. Your use of map features is subject to Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Data Sharing

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • With your vendor: Your name, delivery address, and subscription details are shared with your assigned vendor to fulfil your delivery.
  • Payment processors: Transaction data is shared with Razorpay or Cashfree as required to process payments.
  • Google: Location and map data is processed by Google Maps Platform per their terms.
  • Legal compliance: When required by Indian law or a court order.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for the duration of your subscription and for 3 years thereafter for billing and legal compliance purposes. Delivery records are retained for 2 years. You may request deletion of your account by emailing hello@localBot.in.

7. Your Rights

Under applicable Indian data protection law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may also withdraw consent for optional data processing. Contact us at hello@localBot.in to exercise these rights.

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for data in transit and AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest. Access to user data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

9. Children

LocalBOT is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

1. Agreement

By downloading the LocalBOT application or using localbot.in, you agree to these Terms and Conditions with VarniksGlobal Technology Pvt Ltd ("LocalBOT", "we", "us"). If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. The LocalBOT Platform

LocalBOT is a subscription management platform that connects customers with local vendors for daily delivery of essential products including milk, water cans, newspapers, and similar items. LocalBOT is a technology platform and does not itself deliver goods.

3. Customer Subscription Terms

  • Customers pay ₹12 per month as a platform subscription fee, separate from product costs charged by vendors.
  • Product pricing is set by individual vendors and may vary.
  • First month is free for new customers who register via invitation.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically on the 1st of each month.
  • You may pause or cancel subscriptions at any time via the app or WhatsApp.

4. Vendor Terms

  • Vendor registration is free for the first year from the date of onboarding.
  • Vendors are independent contractors and not employees of LocalBOT.
  • Vendors are responsible for product quality, delivery punctuality, and customer service.
  • LocalBOT may suspend or terminate vendor accounts for repeated customer complaints.
  • Vendor incentive payouts (up to 3% of GMV for months 1-3) are paid after a 3-month holding period.

5. Service Availability

LocalBOT is currently launching in Hyderabad, Telangana. Service availability varies by locality. We do not guarantee service availability in all areas.

6. Payments

Payments are processed through Razorpay or Cashfree. LocalBOT does not store payment card details. Platform subscription fees (₹12/month) are charged at the start of each billing cycle.

7. WhatsApp Integration

LocalBOT's WhatsApp business integration uses Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform. Standard data rates from your mobile operator apply. Message history is subject to WhatsApp's terms of service.

8. Google Maps Usage

LocalBOT uses Google Maps Platform for delivery routing, location verification, and vendor discovery. Your use of location features in LocalBOT is subject to Google Maps' Terms of Service at maps.google.com/help/terms_maps/.

9. Prohibited Use

  • Creating false accounts or providing inaccurate information.
  • Using the platform for any purpose other than daily delivery management.
  • Attempting to reverse-engineer or copy the LocalBOT platform.
  • Harassment of vendors, customers, or LocalBOT staff.

10. Limitation of Liability

LocalBOT is liable only for direct damages arising from platform malfunction up to the value of your monthly subscription fee. We are not liable for vendor delivery failures, product quality issues, or indirect damages.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Indian law. Disputes shall be resolved in courts having jurisdiction in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

Refund Policy

1. Platform Subscription Fee (₹12/month)

The ₹12 monthly platform fee covers your use of the LocalBOT platform. Refunds for the platform fee are available in the following situations:

  • You did not receive any deliveries in the billing month due to a platform error.
  • You were charged incorrectly due to a technical error.
  • You cancelled your subscription within 24 hours of the billing date and had no deliveries in that billing cycle.

2. Product / Delivery Charges

Charges for delivered products are set and collected by individual vendors. Disputes about product charges should first be raised with your vendor through the app. If unresolved, LocalBOT will mediate and may issue a wallet credit.

3. Missed or Failed Deliveries

If a vendor marks a delivery as complete but you did not receive it:

  • Raise a dispute within 4 hours of the expected delivery time via the app.
  • LocalBOT will review GPS delivery data and vendor records.
  • If the complaint is upheld, you will receive a wallet credit equal to that day's delivery value.
  • Repeated confirmed missed deliveries may result in vendor suspension.

4. How to Request a Refund

Email hello@localBot.in with your registered phone number, the date of issue, and a description. We respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are credited to your LocalBOT wallet within 3-5 business days, or to your original payment method within 7-10 business days upon request.

5. Non-Refundable Items

  • Platform fees for months where deliveries were received as scheduled.
  • Charges for products that were delivered and accepted.
  • Partial month charges after cancellation mid-cycle (pro-rated credits may be offered as wallet credits).

Is LocalBOT available in my area?

LocalBOT is currently launching in Hyderabad, Telangana. We're expanding colony by colony starting with Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Madhapur, and surrounding areas. Register your interest and we'll notify you when your area goes live.

How do I pause my delivery?

Send "PAUSE" on WhatsApp to our business number. To pause for a specific number of days, send "PAUSE 5" (5 days). To pause until a date, send "PAUSE JAN 15". Your delivery auto-resumes on the specified date.

Is my data safe?

Yes. We use TLS encryption for all data in transit and AES-256 for sensitive data at rest. We never sell your data. See our full Privacy Policy for details.

Are the products GST-exempt?

Yes. Milk, water, and newspapers are NIL-rated under GST (exempt). The ₹12 platform fee may attract 18% GST above the applicable threshold. We comply with all applicable Indian tax regulations.

How does vendor payment work?

Customers pay ₹12/month to LocalBOT as a platform fee. Product charges are paid directly to vendors via UPI, wallet, or cash as per your arrangement with them. LocalBOT provides digital payment infrastructure but does not mandate digital payment for product charges.

Email hello@localBot.in or WhatsApp us at +91 81429 19919. Our field team in Hyderabad will visit you in person, help you set up your shop, and import your existing customer list. The platform is free for your first year.

What languages does the app support?

LocalBOT supports Telugu, Hindi, and English. You can change your preferred language in Settings at any time. All notifications and WhatsApp messages are sent in your chosen language.
